Each reserve asset has its own issuer, reserve structure, availability, and direct-redemption terms. Inclusion in XMD does not make those underlying terms interchangeable.

USD Coin
A U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin issued by Circle. Its XPR Network treasury representation is shown as XUSDC.
PYUSD
PayPal USD
A U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin issued by Paxos Trust Company for PayPal. Its treasury representation is XPYUSD.
USDP
Pax Dollar
A U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin issued by Paxos Trust Company. The current treasury uses the symbol XPAX for this asset.

A configured asset can remain supported even when its current balance is low. Treasury balance, current share, target or maximum allocation, total minted, and total redeemed answer different questions and should not be treated as a single risk score.

Does every supported asset always have a treasury balance?
No. A supported asset may have a very small or zero current balance while remaining configured for the protocol. The live treasury is the source for current balances.
Why is USDP shown as XPAX?
XPAX is the symbol used by the current XPR Network treasury representation of Pax Dollar. It should not be confused with Pax Gold, which uses the symbol PAXG.
Who can add a new reserve asset?
Reserve-asset additions and parameter changes can be proposed through Metal DAO governance. Approval through governance does not replace technical, issuer, legal, or operational review.
